I ordered a taxi for 13:40pm - 20 minutes beforehand. The taxi showed up perfectly on time. The car was nice and clean, and the driver was friendly. I arrived at my destination in Hove (from Southwick) in 13-14 minutes. Cost was £14. Quick service - definitely recommend this taxi company.
Lovely cab ride. Felt like being picked up by an old friend. Made a late-ish trip home with a 2-year-old (7pm is late in our world nowadays!!) totally stress free.

Booked a taxi last minute for ASAP, after trying another firm who were fully booked. I live out in the sticks and was told it would be about 20 minutes. 3 minutes later I received a text telling me my car was dispatched and a description. 12 minutes after calling I got another message saying my car was arriving and to be ready. The ride was fine but when we arrived and I got out the driver asked me to pay even though I told him I had already paid via the app and he asked for a different amount (the fare paid via the app subsequently showed up on my bank account). It made me very suspicious as surely he should know that.
It the first time I've used this company, being a stranger in the area . A very charming lady answered the phone. Informing me how long the taxi would be , and also made my booking for my return for the following morning. I could see the taxi approaching on the link I was sent . The Driver was extremely friendly and very helpful. I will certainly be using them again when next in Brighton.
I had a very good experience with them thus far, however the text message I received tonight was under a name I stopped using years ago and it was extremely triggering that their records still have a name that has never really been mine. Very happy with the service, and the driver was nice, but if there's any chance that my name can be changed so I don't have to deal with the anxiety in the future, I would be happy to use their services again. I know it's very trivial and I hate to make a fuss out of something this insignificant, but that ruined the perfect evening I just had and that's not sitting well with me.
First cab driver waited in the wrong place. No phone call or text from him to ask where I was. I was waiting where I said I was! Managed to call the driver. He said I wasn’t there and he left. Even though it was him in the wrong place . I asked if would come back. He hung up on me. I was fuming! Took three attempts to get back to speak to a real person in the office. They sent another car. This driver was lovely and very helpful. First driver massively let your company down.
Great service, very polite helpful call handler on the phone and the Cab (despite the heavy rain) turned up quicker than expected - cab driver very knowledgeable on local roads ( this does make a huge difference) and got me to my destination quicker than expected- would highly recommend- especially over more “internationally” run car services😉. Really disappointed. Was quoted £22.50 for a five seater. This was for a 4 mile journey from BN3 to BN1, within the city (15 mins maximum). Noticed the metre going up and up. The cost went up to £40 in no time. We complained to the driver who informed us the quote wasn't accurate. £40 for a 4 mile journey?! He allowed up to pay £30 which whilst appreciated is still wildly expensive! Whilst we want to support local, we will certainly never use this firm. At least with uber you get a fixed price.

We booked a taxi 10 days prior to a wedding, and was informed that was pride weekend so some roads could be closed. We said we knew and added on extra time to get us there, we also booked our return trip. I rang the day before to amend time of our collection and at no point did radio cabs tell us there was a problem. The day of the wedding the cab didn't arrive, I rang and the automated message said driver en route. 10 mins later I rang to be told, it's pride. Having agreed, we knew and had booked in advance and allowed extra time they admitted they hadn't even sent a driver! We were now late and had to rush to find alternative transport. We understand pride is busy and alternative routes have to be found but why take a booking 10 days in advance and not even inform us the day before if they had no drivers available?! Very poor service and customer relations
I had a guest coming in from Gatwick Airport from Italy, but unfortunately she got on the train to Lewis instead of the train to Hove and had to ask this wonderful taxi company to pick this young lady very vulnerable up from Lewis station The taxi driver couldn’t be more hospitable and wonderful after ringing me and finding he couldn’t find her set out to find a lovely girl and retrieve her and bring her back to hove so I thanked them from the bottom of my heart. What a wonderful taxi driver and thank you to the company.

Would recommend to everyone! We were at a wedding with a longer journey home, a local cab company cancelled on us with no warning and radio cars came to the rescue! At short notice, they arranged our booking (despite the late hour). They were punctual and reliable. The driver was friendly and polite! The perfect taxi company!
Very strict on safety but I suppose that's a good thing. Thought it dodgy that at the end of the ride we watched the fair increasing as we all waited for our driver to setup his payment system just for an extra 30p but I suppose times are tough... And Khan was a lovely chap.

We had 5 positive experiences recently over a 2 day period and 1 very negative experience. The driver, (who said he was from Albania), told us it was £10 to go from the cab rank near English's to Marine Parade. The taxi from the station earlier that day was £7 on the meter so I said I would only pay him £7.(which was still too much given the difference in distance.) We got in the taxi and ended up paying £8 with no meter running.The next day, with different drivers, we were charged around £5 to £5.40 on the meter for 3 other journeys. I tried my best to argue the price of £8 but my friend and I are in our late 60's and she became quite anxious so I let it go. We were there to enjoy a couple of days away prior to my starting some intensive chemotherapy this week. The other drivers were awesome. He was not. People, ALWAYS make sure the meter is running!

Always found this taxi co reliable on this occasion I ordered a taxi for 8am and it turned up on time and got me safely to my destination.
Never had a taxi arrive so quickly when booking online. It was literally outside within a couple of minutes. Driver was very friendly and drove very sensibly, which isn't always the case where we live. Our relatives who live in Hove thought we would use Uber, but I don't and they said they would now use B&H themselves.

The only reason I order an old fashion taxi and not an Uber, is so I can make stops on the way as I need, and ask the driver to keep the meter running. He stopped twice after which told me he hasn’t got time to be waiting around for me and has other clients. I told him about ten times to just keep the meter running and I will be happy to pay for all the time, where he’s just sitting there, making money while he’s waiting - just keep the engine on and keep the meter running. He responded to me ten times, this is not how it works, that the meter stops when the car stops. I called the company and they said it’s very odd he said that, because he can in fact leave the car on and keep the meter running. You cannot compete with Uber in any other way, the only thing you have to offer is being able to pull over on demand, if you can’t do that, what good is it?
The company knows very well which driver I’m referring to, as I made a formal complaint and spoke with Paul Wardle who refused to compensate me.

The only reason I order an old fashion taxi and not an Uber, is so I can make stops on the way as I need, and ask the driver to keep the meter running. He stopped twice after which told me he hasn’t got time to be waiting around for me and has other clients. I told him about ten times to just keep the meter running and I will be happy to pay for all the time, where he’s just sitting there, making money while he’s waiting - just keep the engine on and keep the meter running. He responded to me ten times, this is not how it works, that the meter stops when the car stops. I called the company and they said it’s very odd he said that, because he can in fact leave the car on and keep the meter running. Had an appointment at the rsch outpatients, booked a cab @13:18 for my appointment at 13:50.The taxi arrived at 13:52.Spoke to the switchboard twice ,Luckily the hospital department still saw me @ 14:10.

Quite a long way round, Prestonville Arms to Queens Park Road via the town centre and Albion Hill? Nearly £10.00 Had cabs from the back of the station for a lot cheaper. It's a Wednesday evening, not busy.

I had a great taxi ride from the part of Old Shoreham Rd in Portslade to Bevendean. The taxi driver asked if it was ok to go a different route to avoid traffic etc. I agreed. It was a fabulous route! I'll go that way from now on! Cheers
Driver couldn’t care less about doing his job. I asked him to drop me on the right, outside my house and he pulled up two or three houses back on the left. I said ‘on the right’ and he said ‘do you want me to drive over and park outside?’ I just couldn’t be arsed to correct someone who doesn’t care about doing their job. He seem to want cash and I can only pay by card. Further disappointing, my driver.

Storm Bert had hit Brighton on Saturday. I called a streamline cab to pick me up at Waitrose Nevill Road. It was very busy with traffic and queues everywhere.bI waited by tge entrance fir about 40 minutes. It was freezing. Then I saw the taxi had been cancelled. The driver couldn't find me. I was right by the entrance and so visible! So I called Brighton Radio cabs. They turned up so quickly and the cab was so warm after standing in the cold for 40 minutes! Never use streamline! I am not going to now!

Ordered a taxi to take me to the airport was told its £56. when the taxi arrived i was told it would be £60 because its busy and that if i want him to take me this is his price. When i got to the airport he said it was £62. i asked why it had gone up again he said he gets more with uber and he is loosing money by taking me to the airport as he can do 2 jobs for the same money in the city. He was speeding the whole way to the airport as well as tailgating and driving one handed.
I had had a tooth extracted and dentist near Brighton hospital, I’d missed a bus to take me back to Burgess Hill so took 2 buses to get To Patcham. It was pouring with rain, so phoned for a cab, the driver came within 10 minutes. He was very kind, polite and nice to chat to. A good ride for a fixed price. Brighton cabs have always been good. A fair price for a long ride. Highly recommended.

Always nice drivers and it is easy to book by phone and then I get an email confirmation and a text when the driver is on the way. It takes all the worry out of booking a taxi. I have used them for a long time.
I use Radio Cabs taxis a lot and the majority of drivers are excellent. They are friendly and helpful and this is also the case with the operators, the people handling the phones. They are always helpful and informative, such as advising that a taxi might take longer than usual and why. There have been a couple of blips along the way but not enough to stop me from using Radio Cabs

Not a great experience with the service. The first taxi that arrived for us drove off with other passengers. The driver obviously did not check for the name. Ordered another taxi. Waited for confirmation that taxi was on its way but nothing for ages. Cancelled and got the bus. Which made us miss our train. We were at the station when got confirmation taxi was on its way, even though I had cancelled it. Shame to finish our stay in Brighton this way.

I always use radio camps when ordering a taxi in Brighton. They are. MUCH more reliable than Uber and are reasonably priced. The Drivers also know the city routes well.

Lovely young man, very polite gentleman. As a disabled lady I feel quite vulnerable travelling alone, yet this gentleman got me home quickly, with ‘easy’ chat and made me feel comfortable. Tipped him for his politeness and efficiency.

Picked up yesterday by a wonderful driver called Chris. I had to pick up an elderly passenger from the hospital with Dementia. Chris was so understanding and helpful, he even helped me walk her to the door as she was a bit wobbly. He went above and beyond his job and I wanted to send him a massive thank you. It meant so much!

Ordered a cab as trains would take 40 mins to get me home but 1st cab didn't turn up so in the end it took 45 mins to get home and cost nearly 20 quid as opposed to a fiver and I thought the trains were a lot of money for poor service. The driver that turned up was a nice chap and did a good job though.

I recently had a very unpleasant experience with Brighton and Hove Radio Cabs. I called a taxi and when the driver arrived, he informed me that the company only accepted cash payments. As I did not have any cash on me, only a business payment card he said he would stop at a nearby cashpoint so I could withdraw the necessary amount. I found this quite odd as most taxi companies nowadays accept card payments.
He then told me that he was not happy with the distance I was travelling and that he did not want to take me anymore. I was taken aback by his sudden change of heart and felt very uncomfortable. I had no choice but to get out to order another taxi. This was a huge inconvenience for me, especially as I was in a rush to get to my destination.
To my surprise, as I was ordering a new taxi, the driver suddenly changed his mind again and told me that he would now accept card payments. I was extremely frustrated and annoyed by this point. I did not want to give my business to a company that treated its customers in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. When I arrived at my destination the driver also expected me to give him a tip. Unfortunately, you cannot type rude words into the payment terminal.
I was disappointed by the driver's behaviour and felt like I was being taken advantage of. It is unacceptable for a taxi company to only accept cash payments and then change their mind halfway through. This not only caused inconvenience to me but also showed a lack of transparency and trustworthiness from the company's end.
I hope that Brighton and Hove Radio Cabs will take the necessary steps to improve their payment methods and ensure that their drivers are trained to handle situations like this more professionally. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and given clear information about the payment methods before getting into the taxi.
